Product Description:
- Cuticell® Classic is a sterile, low-adherent wound contact layer made of 100 % cotton open-weave gauze impregnated with soft white paraffin.
- Creates and maintains a moist wound-healing environment, which accelerates tissue repair.
- Minimizes pain and trauma on removal thanks to the paraffin coating.
- Air- and exudate-permeable, latex-free and suitable for sensitive or dry skin
- Indicated for first- and second-degree burns, scalds, skin-graft donor & recipient sites, leg ulcers, lacerations, abrasions and other exuding wounds.
How To Use
- Prepare the wound and surrounding skin according to standard aseptic technique.
- Open the peel pouch; using sterile scissors, cut the dressing to the exact wound size if required.
- Apply the gauze directly onto the wound bed—either side can face the wound for user-friendly placement.
- Cover & absorb: Overlay with a sterile absorbent pad or secondary dressing to manage exudate.
- Fix in place with hypoallergenic tape, tubular net, or conforming bandage.
- Change: Follow local clinical protocol or when strike-through occurs. Gently remove the secondary dressing, then lift off Cuticell® Classic—no need to moisten, reducing discomfort
Warnings and Precautions
- Single use only; do not re-sterilise or re-use.
- Do not use on heavily bleeding wounds or third-degree burns without physician supervision.
- Discontinue use if irritation, redness, or sensitisation occurs.
- Secondary dressing is mandatory to absorb excess exudate and keep the paraffin gauze in place.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; keep pouch sealed until use
