2 - Select an Option
COVID-19: Select if you are recovering from COVID-19. Three-level alarms are set to default but are user configurable.
OPIOIDS: Select if you are taking opioids. Three-level alarms are preset and are not user configurable.
OTHER: Select if you are not recovering from COVID-19 or using opioids. Three-level alarms are set to default but are user configurable.
3 - Set up the Home Medical Hub
Make sure Bluetooth® is enabled on your smartphone. Pair the app to the Home Medical Hub and connect to your wireless network using Wi-Fi.
4 - Enter Custom Emergency Contacts
Enter the contact information of the family members and/or friends you want to receive text notifications. An invitation is sent to each emergency contact entered in the app. Note: Emergency contacts must accept the invitation to receive text notifications.
5 - Pair Masimo Sensor
Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the Masimo Sensor to the Home Medical Hub using Bluetooth. Once paired, monitoring can begin.
6 - Apply Masimo Sensor
Apply the Sensor to your wrist and finger. Insert the Chip. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app for more detail.
Masimo SafetyNet Alert TM automatically notifies Emergency Contacts via text message during emergency situations, so they can respond and help take action if necessary.
What is the role of an Emergency Contact?
An Emergency Contact is a designated friend or family member who agrees to receive text message alerts from Masimo SafetyNet Alert when emergency low oxygen events occur,* so they can respond and intervene. An Emergency Contact should be an adult friend or family member.
How to become an Emergency Contact
A text message invitation is sent from the end user via the app. Upon receipt of the text message invitation, follow the instructions in the text to accept and become an Emergency Contact. You do not need to download the app to be an Emergency Contact.
What to do in case of an emergency
Attempt to contact the user. If the Emergency Contact is unable to contact the user, consider contacting emergency medical services.
How to stop being an Emergency Contact
Instructions to unsubscribe are sent to Emergency Contacts via text notification. An Emergency Contact can also ask the user to remove his or her contact information from the app.
*Message settings for Emergency Contacts include low oxygen events, sensor off events, and low battery.
