How to use:

Taping improperly can aggravate an existing injury or disrupt the mechanics of a body part, causing an initial injury to occur. The following taping procedures are necessary to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of support tape.

1. If the tape is being applied to a joint, place it in the position in which it is to be stabilized.

2. Overlap the tape at least one half the width of the tape below.

3. Continuous taping should be avoided because it could induce constriction, compromise circulation, and decrease normal muscle function. Overlap where the tape has been ripped by 1 inch.

4. Keep the tape roll in your hand. This develops speed and accuracy while taping.

5. Smooth and mould the tape as it is laid on the skin to reduce skin irritations. Allow the tape to fit the natural contour of the skin and fall as it may.
