About Product

Product Description:

  • Pantor 40 Tablet is a medicine that reduces stomach acid production, used for treating acid-related conditions such as heartburn, acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

  • It promotes symptom relief and healing and is also used to prevent stomach ulcers and acidity associated with prolonged painkiller use.

  • It belongs to the proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) class.

How To Use:

  • Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

  • Swallow it as a whole.

  • Do not chew, crush, or break it. Pantor 40 Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach, preferably one hour before a meal and in the morning.

Warnings And Precautions:

  • Unsafe to consume alcohol with Pantor 40 Tablet. May be unsafe during pregnancy; consult a doctor.

  • Probably safe during breastfeeding if prescribed. May cause side effects affecting the ability to drive.

  • Safe for use in kidney disease; no dose adjustment needed. Use with caution in severe liver disease; dose adjustment may be needed.

  • Inform the doctor if you have severe liver problems, are taking HIV medicines, have had allergic reactions to similar medicines, or suffer from bone loss (osteoporosis).

  • Long-term use (more than 1 year) may increase the risk of bone fractures, especially with higher doses; discuss preventing bone loss with calcium and vitamin D supplements. Consult a doctor if symptoms like decreased urination, edema, lower back pain, nausea, fatigue, rash, or fever occur, as these could indicate kidney problems.

  • Do not stop taking the medicine abruptly without consulting a doctor, especially after long-term use, to avoid increased acid production.

  • Common side effects include upper respiratory tract infection, dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, flatulence, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, joint pain, and injection site reaction.

  • Long-term use (more than 3 months) may cause low magnesium levels, leading to tiredness, confusion, dizziness, shakiness, muscle twitches, or irregular heartbeat. Prolonged use (more than a year) may increase the risk of bone fractures, stomach infections, and vitamin B12 deficiency, potentially causing anemia, tiredness, weakness, paleness, palpitations, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, indigestion, loss of appetite, flatulence, or nerve problems like numbness, tingling, and walking difficulties.
