  • Aranesp is indicated for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure, including patients on dialysis and patients not on dialysis, and for the treatment of anemia in patients with non-myeloid malignancies where anemia is due to the effect of concomitantly administered chemotherapy.

How to use:


  • Recommended starting dose for patients with CKD on dialysis
  • 0.45mcg/kg intravenously or subcutaneously weekly, or
  • 0.75mcg/kg intravenously or subcutaneously every 2weeks
  • Intravenous route is recommended for patients on hemodialysis

Caution & Warnings:









  • headache
  • body aches,
  • stomach pain
  • cough
  • skin rash or redness
  • diarrhea, and injection site reactions
  • These side effects are not common in everyone.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
