About Product

Product Description:

  • The Silk·épil 5 5-021 is a cordless epilator designed for both wet and dry use.

  • It uses MicroGrip technology (28 tweezers) to remove very short hairs — reportedly as short as 0.5 mm.

  • Comes with a massage roller cap to make the epilation process more comfortable by reducing the pain sensation.

  • Includes an exfoliation brush attachment to help prevent ingrown hairs by removing dead skin.

  • Features a smart light to reveal even the smallest hairs so you don’t miss any.

  • Runs up to 40 minutes on a full charge.

  • Built to last: highlights its durability (“built in Germany”).

How to Use:

Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide for using the epilator effectively and safely:

Charge the Epilator

  • Make sure the device is fully charged before use. According to the manual, it supports cordless use so you can epilate wherever you like.

Choose Your Attachment

  • Use the massage roller cap for more comfortable epilation.

  • Use the skin contact cap (if available) when you need close skin contact.

  • Use the exfoliation brush attachment to scrub the skin first — this helps prevent ingrown hairs.

Prepare Your Skin

  • You can epilate on dry skin (make sure it’s clean and free from creams or oils).

  • For wet use, make sure your skin is very moist. You may use shower gel to help the epilator glide smoothly.

Epilating Technique

  • Stretch the skin gently as you epilate.

  • Hold the epilator at a 90° angle to your skin and slowly move it opposite to the direction of hair growth.

  • For sensitive areas like the underarms or bikini line, start on a lower speed (if your model has speed settings) and epilate in different directions to catch hairs that grow in different patterns.

First Sessions

  • During your first 4 weeks of using it, epilate once a week using the beginner cap if you have it — helps your skin get used to the sensation.

  • If hairs are long (longer than ~5 mm), it's better to shave first, then epilate after 3–5 days when the regrowth is shorter

After Epilating

  • Rinse the epilation head under water if you used it wet. While rinsing, you can turn the epilator on for a few seconds to help dislodge hairs.

  • Let all parts dry fully before reattaching the caps.

  • You can apply moisturizer after epilation to soothe the skin. The first time, consider doing it in the evening so any redness can fade overnight.

Maintenance

  • Clean the tweezers (epilation head) regularly with the cleaning brush that comes in the box.

  • Lubricate the shaving or epilator head parts every ~3 months (if the manual says so) to keep it working smoothly.

Warnings & Precautions:

Here are the safety tips and precautions to know:

  • Do not share your epilator with others — for hygiene reasons.

  • Use only the supplied cord/charger; don’t replace or modify it.

  • When using in water (bath or shower), make sure to detach the cord; use only cordless mode.

  • Avoid epilating areas you shouldn’t: do not use on eyelashes or very delicate facial areas.

  • Epilation may cause temporary skin reactions (itching, redness, discomfort), especially during first uses.

  • If redness or irritation lasts more than 36 hours, stop using and consult a doctor.

  • Clean the epilator head thoroughly before each use to minimize risk of infection

Talk to your doctor before using if you have:

  • Eczema, wounds, or inflamed skin (e.g., folliculitis)

  • Varicose veins or moles in the area to be epilated

  • Reduced immune function (e.g., diabetes) or other conditions like Raynaud’s disease or hemophilia.

  • For long-term safety: only get the battery changed by an authorized Service Center, if needed.

Ingredients:

  • Since this is a device, not a cosmetic product, it doesn't have “ingredients” in the usual sense (like a cream).

But if you're referring to the materials/components, here’s what’s relevant:

  • The epilator mechanism includes MicroGrip tweezers as the hair-removing elements.

  • The device body and attachments are made from durable plastic, built to German manufacturing standards.

  • For “ingredients” in terms of the power/battery, it uses a Li-ion rechargeable battery.
