Lidocaine hydrochloride / Cetylpyridinium chloride gel is used to help relieve pain and discomfort associated with teething, in children from 5 months of age, when other non-medicinal methods did not work.

• If your baby is allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.

• In babies younger than 5 months of age.

Warnings and precautions

• Talk to your doctor about all your baby’s medical conditions before giving this medicine.

• Do not use for more than 7 days for each teething episode.

Other medicines and Lidocaine hydrochloride / Cetylpyridinium chloride

Tell your doctor about all the medicines your baby is taking.

 How to take Lidocaine hydrochloride / Cetylpyridinium chloride  

• Use as indicated by your doctor.

• Wash your hands before using.

• Apply a pea sized drop of gel to your fingertip and spread gently onto the sore area of the gum.

• It can be used every 3 hours. Do not use more than 6 times in one day (24 hour period).

If you know you have exceeded the recommended daily dose, contact your doctor, poison center or the hospital immediately.

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

There are no known side effects from Lidocaine hydrochloride / Cetylpyridinium chloride gel.

How to store Lidocaine hydrochloride / Cetylpyridinium chloride  

• Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
