What Chlorpheniramine Maleate / Pseudoephedrine HCl / Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is used for

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate / Pseudoephedrine HCl / Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is used for the temporary relief of non-productive coughs and upper respiratory symptoms associated with the common cold and for the relief of nose allergies.

Do not take Chlorpheniramine Maleate / Pseudoephedrine HCl / Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide

• If you are allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.


• If you have narrow-angle glaucoma.


• If you are taking or took medicines for depression, Parkinson’s disease or Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors in the past 14 days.


• If you have severe hypertension or ischemic heart disease.


• If you have a cough with a lot of mucus, a long-term cough caused by smoking or lung problems like asthma or emphysema.

Warnings and precautions

Ask your doctor before taking this medicine if you have any of the following: 

• Asthma or COPD. 


• Liver or kidney disease.


• Thyroid dysfunction.


• Prostate enlargement.


• Cardiovascular problems such as hypertension and ischemic heart disease.


• Do not consume alcohol while being treated with this medicine.

Possible side effects

• Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop throat tightness or swelling of the eyes, face, lips or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing.

• Drowsiness 

Other medicines and Chlorpheniramine Maleate / Pseudoephedrine HCl / Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide

• Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.


• Medications that interact with this medicine include: medications for anxiety, depression and Parkinson’s disease, other sedatives and tranquilizers, other antihistamines including products to relieve cough and common cold.

How to take Chlorpheniramine Maleate / Pseudoephedrine HCl / Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide

• This medicine is intended for adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years and older.


• Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.

 For adults and children aged 12 years and older take 10mL every 6-8 hours. Do not exceed 40 mL in 24 hours.

 For children aged 6-12 years:

• Take 5mL every 6-8 hours.

Do not exceed 20mL in 24 hours. 

How to store Chlorpheniramine Maleate

• Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).


• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.


• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
