GINKOSPAN 60MG CAPSULES
1- What Ginkospan is and what it is used for
Ginkospan is a traditional herbal product containing ginkgo biloba dry extract.
It is used to improve blood circulation.
2- Before you take Ginkospan
Do not take Ginkospan if:
• You are allergic (hypersensitive) to ginkgo products or any of the other ingredients in this product.
• You are pregnant.
• You have a bleeding disorder or hemophilia.
• You are under 18 years of age.
Take special care with Ginkospan if:
• You still feel unwell after taking this product for 4 weeks, tell your doctor.
Tell your doctor before taking Ginkospan if:
• You have a history of bleeding or if you have a bleeding disorder.
• You are having a major operation in the near future.
• You are taking any blood-thinning medicines, including aspirin or anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin, clopidogrel, heparin).
• You are taking a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen).
• You are taking a proton-pump inhibitor (e.g. omeprazole, pantoprazole).
• You are taking phenytoin or valproic acid.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
As the effects of Ginkospan in breast-feeding have not been established fully, you should not use it if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, unless prescribed by a doctor.
3- How to take Ginkospan
Always take Ginkospan exactly as your doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
How much Ginkospan to take
Remember to always take Ginkospan with a glass of water.
Adults and the elderly:
• Ginkospan 40 Capsules: Take one or two capsules three times a day
• Ginkospan 60 Capsules: Take one or two capsules twice daily
• Ginkospan can be used for 3 months.
• Do not exceed the stated dose.
If you accidentally take more than you should:
If you accidentally take too much and feel ill, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or hospital.
If you forget to take Ginkospan:
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Take the next dose at the usual time. It does not matter if you have missed a dose.
4- Possible side effects
Like all products, Ginkospan can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The frequency of the following is not known.
If you get any of these side effects, seek medical help immediately.
5- How to store Ginkospan
• Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
• Store below 30°C.
• Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton. The expiry date is the last day of that month.
• Do not use Ginkospan if you notice any visible signs of deterioration.
