Hygex Cream is a topical antiseptic that contains the active ingredients cetrimide and chlorhexidine.
How to use:
Apply it to the skin only.
Adults, elderly and children, with clean hands gently apply.

Cuts & grazes.
Insect bites & stings.
Minor burns & scalds.
Shaving cuts.
Skin Problems:
As an antiseptic hand cream.
Blisters & sores.
Chapped skin.
Nappy rash.
Spots & blackheads.
Sunburn.
Caution & Warnings:
Do not use the medicine if you or your child have:
An allergy to any of the ingredients, especially Chlorhexidine as it may cause allergic reactions.
Avoid contact with the eyes or ears.
For external application to the skin.
Do not use in body cavities.
Pregnant or breastfeeding:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant, might be pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Important information about some of the ingredients
This product contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
If you accidentally swallow some, see a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you to show which medicine you have swallowed.
Side effects:
Like all medicines, HYGEX Antiseptic Cream can have side effects although these don’t affect everyone.
STOP using and seek medical help immediately if you have any of the following very rare allergic reactions: difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, dizziness, skin irritation or rash.
If you experience these or other side effects, stop using and seek medical advice.
Storage Conditions:
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not store above 30°C.
Do not allow to freeze.
This medicine will expire after 180 days from the first opening.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
