About Product

Product Description:

Incresync contains two different medicines in one tablet:

  • The two substances are alogliptin and pioglitazone.

  • Alogliptin belongs to a group of medicines called DPP ‑ Inhibitors (dipeptidyl peptidase ‑ 4 ‑ inhibitors). Alogliptin works by increasing the levels of insulin in the body after a meal and reducing the amount of sugar in the body.

  • Pioglitazone belongs to a group of medicines called thiazolidinediones. It helps the body to use the insulin that is produced in a better way.

  • Both of these drug groups are diabetes drugs that are taken orally.

What Incresync is used for:

  • Incresync is used to lower blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.

  • Type 2 diabetes is also called non-insulin-dependent diabetes.

  • Incresync is used when blood sugar cannot be adequately controlled on a diet, exercise, and other oral diabetes medicines, such as pioglitazone, or pioglitazone, and metformin together.

  • Your doctor will check if Incresync is working for you 3 to 6 months after you start treatment.

  • If you are already taking both alogliptin and pioglitazone as separate tablets, Incresync may replace them with one tablet.

  • It is important that you continue to follow the diet and exercise advice given to you by your nurse or doctor.

How To Use:

  • Follow all directions on your prescription label and read all medication guides or instruction sheets.

  • Your doctor may occasionally change your dose.

  • Use the medicine exactly as directed.

  • You may take this medicine with or without food.

  • Incresync is available as tablets and can only be obtained with a prescription.

  • It is taken by mouth once daily.

  • The recommended dose depends on the patient’s current treatment for diabetes.

  • For more information about using Incresync, see the package leaflet or contact your doctor or pharmacist.

  • Titrate dose based on glycemic response as determined by hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c).

  • Maximum dose: Alogliptin 25 mg per day; Pioglitazone 45 mg per day.
