Side effects
Mecobalamin is well tolerated. Only rarely do gastrointestinal symptoms such as anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea occur. Skin rash may also rarely occur.
Contraindications
Mecobalamin is contraindicated in patients with sensitivity to the drug, to cobalt, or to other vitamin B12 substances, including cyanocobalamin and hydroxocobalamin.
