Finasteride 5mg tablets

What Finasteride is used for:

Finasteride is a medication used to treat symptoms of prostate enlargement in men. 

Do not take Finasteride:

• If you’re allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.
• If you are a women.

Warnings and precautions:

• If your partner is pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you should use a condom or other barrier method of contraception while taking Finasteride.
• Pregnant women should never take Finasteride. They  should  also  not  handle  crushed  or  broken  tablets  of  this medicine because of the risk of absorption. It can harm your unborn male baby.
• This medicine may increase the risk of having prostate cancer.
• This medicine may affect the blood test results of PSA levels.

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; blisters; itching; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Most common side effects:

• Impotence
• Decrease in sex drive
• Ejaculation problems
• Decreased sperm count
• Breast tenderness and enlargement

 

Other medicines and Finasteride:

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.

How to take Finasteride :

• This medicine is intended for adult men only.
• Take this drug at the same time of day.
• Take one tablet (5mg) once daily.

How to store Finasteride:

• Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).
• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
