Product Description:

• Redulex Baby Rectal Suppositories are plant-based, single-dose suppositories indicated for new-borns ≥2 weeks of age.


• They are designed to relieve infant colic, abdominal bloating, intestinal spasms, and excess gas, and can be used as an adjunct for pain caused by teething, ear inflammation or low-grade fever.


• The pack contains 12 white, torpedo-shaped suppositories .

How To Use

Prepare:

• Wash hands.


• If the suppository is soft, chill it for 2-3 minutes in the refrigerator to harden.
  Remove foil wrapper just before use.

Position:

• Place baby on their side or back with knees gently drawn toward the chest.

Insert:

• Moisten the tip with water or a water-soluble lubricant (never petroleum jelly).


• Insert the pointed end first into the rectum until it passes the sphincter (~1 cm in infants).


• Hold the buttocks together for 30–60 seconds to keep the suppository in place .

Aftercare:

• Keep baby lying down for 5–10 minutes.


• A bowel movement or release of gas may occur within 15–60 minutes.

Dosing by weight

• 3–10 kg: 1 suppository, max 2 per day


• 10–20 kg: 1 suppository, max 3 per day


• >20 kg: 1–2 suppositories, max 4 per day

Warnings & Precautions

• Do NOT use if your baby is hypersensitive to chamomile, lemon balm, fennel or any excipients.


• Discontinue and consult a doctor if rectal bleeding occurs, the infant has persistent constipation (>1 week), or symptoms worsen .


• Storage: Keep below 25 °C; refrigerate if excessively soft. Keep out of reach of children.


• Medical review: Speak to a paediatrician before use in preterm infants or if the child has any underlying GI obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, or is receiving other medications.
