Product Description:

• Similac EleCare is a nutritionally complete amino acid-based special infant formula.


• with the addition of (2'-FL) oligosaccharide for use under medical supervision. It is intended for the dietary management of infants with cow's milk allergy, severe and/or multiple food allergies and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, short bowel syndrome, malabsorptive conditions, protein maldigestion or GI Tract impairment where an amino acid-based formula is indicated. Suitable as a sole or supplemental source of nutrition.

How to use:

• Use and feed as directed by your physician.


• Proper hygiene, handling, and storage are important when preparing infant formula.


• Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm.


• Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby’s doctor.

Preparation:

• Thoroughly wash feeding container and all utensils, then boil for 5 minutes.


• Set aside on clean surface.


• In a separate pan, heat water to a rolling boil for 5 minutes and allow it to cool.


• Pour the correct amount of warm, previously boiled water into the sterilized feeding container.


• Fill enclosed scoop by pressing against the tin, then scrape level with the straight edge of a knife.


• Add one level scoop of powder to each 60 mL of water.


• Mix until completely dissolved.


• Test temperature and feed.


• Once the feeding begins, discard unused formula within 1 hour.


• Additional feedings may be stored in refrigerator (2 - 4 °C) for 24 hours.

Caution & Warnings:

Storage:

• Store unopened tin under normal room conditions (not to exceed 25 °C).


• Store opened tin with cover on, in a cool dry place (not in refrigerator) and use within 3 weeks.

Warning:

• Never use a microwave oven to prepare or warm formula.


• Serious burns can result.
