3. Before you take Thiodox
Do not take Thiodox
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to thioctic acid (alpha lipoic acid) or any of the other ingredients in this product (listed in section 6).
- Children and adolescents
- Children and adolescents should not take Thiodox as there is insufficient experience for this age group.
- Taking other medicines, herbs, or dietary supplements
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including those without a prescription.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Thiodox.
- Thiodox should be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding only after careful benefit-risk assessment and under medical supervision.
4. How to take Thiodox
- The recommended daily dose is 2 to 6 tablets (equal to 600 mg – 1800 mg of thioctic acid) to be taken in divided doses or according to your doctor’s prescription, about 30 minutes before meals with plenty of water.
- If you take more Thiodox than you should
- Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, and headaches.
- If you forget to take Thiodox
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

- Like all products, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- If you notice any side effects, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
